On December 28, 2024, HTWO ( "HTWO Guangzhou") in conjunction with Hyundai Truck & Bus(China) shipped 190 units of 4.5-ton fuel cell refrigerated trucks to Guangzhou Development District Communications Investment Group. This was not only the single largest batch of fuel cell refrigerated trucks ever shipped within China but also a great leap forward in promoting Hyundai fuel cell trucks and accelerating the development of the logistics industry with zero emissions.

(Fuel Cell Refrigerated Trucks Become the Leading Cause in Transformation of Cold Chain Logistics)
Since its establishment in 2021, "HTWO Guangzhou” - Hyundai Motor Group's first overseas fuel cell manufacturing base, has been collaborating with Hyundai Truck & Bus (China) to promote fuel cell trucks in the Chinese domestic market.
The two companies along with Guangzhou Development Zone Trading Group have come to a strategic agreement to map out the target market.
In June 2024, Hyundai Truck & Bus in conjunction with HTWO shipped the first batch of 40 fuel cell vans to the Guangzhou Development District. The following batch of 190 fuel cell vans became a truly inspiring moment for the Huangpu district’s fuel cell pilot zone - it demonstrated strong
determination and faith in further development of the Hydrogen industry in the region.

Mr. Honggang Yuan – the CEO of Guangzhou Development Zone Transportation Investment Group, Mr. Daehyeon Joung – the CEO of HTWO (Guangzhou) and Mr. Sok Gu Choi - the CEO of Hyundai Truck & Bus (China) as well as other leaders and guests were invited on stage to deliver congratulatory speeches on the breakthrough achievements in the fuel cell cold-chain logistics sector development in Huangpu District, Guangzhou.
These 190 fuel cell trucks are not only a significant achievement purely on a scale basis, but also an event that marks a new height in the development of the regional hydrogen industry. Guangzhou Development Zone Trading Group is a strong supporter for the development of the hydrogen industry - the 40 units of 4.5-ton fuel cell trucks previously put into operation have already begun to demonstrate the initial results in helping achieve carbon neutrality and lowering emission levels. We will stay the course in achieving carbon neutrality and start a new chapter in hydrogen development to build a brand new low-carbon future together.

Mr. Sok Gu Choi – CEO of Hyundai Truck & Bus (China)
This batch of fuel cell refrigerated trucks was developed in conjunction with "Hyundai Truck & Bus", "HTWO Guangzhou" and Hyundai Hydrogen H2 Solution. Equipped with cutting-edge fuel cell system, this model is customized for cold chain transportation needs and offers excellent performance.

To meet the demand for powerful refrigerated trucks, we introduced a model featuring a motor with peak power of 140kW and a 360N·m torque - it allows the truck to accelerate fast and navigate steep hills easily which is essential in cold chain heavy load trucking. At the same time, the vehicle is equipped with two 260L high capacity fuel tanks paired with a high efficiency “hydrogen-to-power” conversion system (64%) which makes it possible to travel distances of over 500 KM and essentially allows the truck to run both on electricity and hydrogen non-stop all day long.
Guangzhou is the future of the hydrogen industry. Hyundai Truck & Bus will continue to expand the application of hydrogen technology, help reach zero-emission levels in transportation and use technological solutions to lower emission levels and achieve carbon neutrality in China.
