Hyundai Motor XCIENT hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty truck builds the first mass production system in the world
After exporting to Switzerland, establish ed Hydrogen Fuel Cell Commercial Vehicle Ecosystem locally.
Plan to enter European countries ,such as Germany, the Netherlands, Australia and the United States
Hyundai Motor has completed the hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty truck commercialization,Starting with the batch export of hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty trucks to Switzerland, it marks that Hyundai Motor has opened the door to the European environmental friendly commercial vehicle market, and also marks that Hyundai Motor has become the world's first automobile enterprise to construct the mass production system for hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty trucks.
On July 6, Hyundai Motor released the world's first mass-produced hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty truck - XCIENT Fuel Cell. Ten XCIENT hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty trucks were exported to Switzerland.

Although some automobile companies have the technology of hydrogen fuel heavy-duty truck, most of them remain at the stage of concept vehicles and basic models. Only a few enterprises have realized the mass production of hydrogen fuel heavy-duty trucks, and Hyundai Motor is the only one that has put hydrogen fuel heavy-duty trucks on the market for commercial use so far.。
The export of XCIENT hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty trucks to Switzerland is Hyundai's first entry into the commercial heavy vehicle market in Western Europe. It is also a strategic move for Hyundai Motor to occupy the hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicle market one step ahead of other automobile companies.

XCIENT hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty trucks shipped on the same day will be delivered to Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility, a joint venture between Hyundai Motor and H2 Energy - Swiss hydrogen fuel solutions specialist. Hyundai is expected to export an additional 40 XCIENT hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty trucks by the end of this year and deliver 1,600 XCIENT hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty trucks in stages by 2025.

Hyundai Motor not only simply provides vehicles, but also devotes to construct a differentiated hydrogen fuel ecosystem from its competitors to provide users with a complete set of hydrogen fuel vehicle solution.
Li Renzhe, the head of Business Division and the Vice President of Hyundai Motor, said, "This batch delivery of hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty trucks demonstrated Hyundai Motor's international leadership in hydrogen fuel cell technology once again. Hyundai Motor not only sells hydrogen fuel cell trucks, but also constructs an organically recycled hydrogen fuel ecosystem by working closely with European hydrogen fuel partners, to provide a systematic solution for hydrogen fuel truck users."
He added, "this overseas export expanded the European commercial vehicle market, we will also continue to enter North America, China and other commercial vehicle markets, give play to the technical advantages of environmentally friendly commercial vehicles, leading the global market upgrade for environmentally friendly commercial vehicles."

XCIENT hydrogen fuel cell heavy-duty truck is equipped with a 190kW hydrogen fuel cell system composed of two hydrogen fuel batteries, and a drive motor with highest output of 350kW (476ps/228kgf·m). It can travel about 400 km per charge. It is developed according to the specific requirements of the potential commercial team customers and the optimum balance between hydrogen fueling infrastructures in Switzerland. The hydrogen fueling time is about 8-20 minutes (the actual consumed time varies with the surface temperature of the hydrogen fuel tank).
Looking forward to the future, the wide application of hydrogen fuel trucks will be certainly more friendly to the survival of humans. Hyundai Motor pursues the harmonious development of enterprise and nature, human and nature, and spares no effort to promote the use of green energy trucks relying on technology advantage. The hydrogen fuel trucks is not only the best choice to replace diesel, but also important to promote the harmonious symbiotic development of human and nature.
